The FAI Buntús Programme is aimed at primary school children and their teachers. It is organised in partnership with the Irish Sports Council and has been implemented in over 1,500 primary schools in the Republic of Ireland in local sports partnership areas. The programme provides training and resources to teachers enabling them to deliver football related sessions during PE and afterschool programmes. Over 11,000 teachers have been trained and to date over 180,000 children are involved in the programme. Each school that signs up to the programme receive a bag of equipment that includes the following:
- Set of Bibs
- Set of Cones
- Ball Bag
- Size 3 Soccer Balls
- Futsal Balls
- Drill Cards and information booklets are also included to assist teachers to deliver the programme.
