Third Level Football

The third level football section is coordinated by Gerard Dunne. Six football facilitators are co-funded with seven institutions. The main programmes organised by the third level section are: The Colleges and Universities Football League, Futsal, Coach and Referee Education, Volunteer Education, Teacher Training courses are provided in most of the third level colleges and available to all teachers. The three affiliates at third level CFAI, IUFU and WSCAI all link in with the third level section as they provide football for students.

IT Carlow and UCC suffer defeat in European Futsal Championship

IT Carlow and University College Cork were defeated in the opening day of the European University Futsal Championships in Zagreb. IT Carlow were defeated by 3-0 by Tetovo Macedonia while University College Cork went down 10-2 to the Norweigan School of Sport Sciences.

IT Carlow defeated DIT in today's Colleges & Universities Futsal Cup 6-2 after a thrilling final in the
magnificent University of Limerick Arena.

Dun Laoghaire claim CUFL division 2 title

In the Umbro CUFL Division Two Final at Phoenix FC, Man of the Match John Byrne's first half goal was enough for Senior College Dun Laoghaire to beat IT Blanchardstown.

UCD strike late to seal Umbro Premier League title

Man of the Match Robbie Creevy scored a wonder goal deep in stoppage time that captured a third Colleges and Universities premier League title in four years for UCD in a close fought decider against Dublin rivals DIT at Tolka Park.
