Ireland CP squad head to Italy for Championships

The Republic of Ireland CP squad head out to Italy this week for the IFCPF European Championships which is set to begin on Friday, June 2.

Ireland are set to face Scotland in their opening Group B fixture before they take on Germany and Ukraine at the European Championships as they look to progress to the final stages.

Gary Messett has been named in the squad and there has been five new call-ups to the squad - Richard Carroll, Warren Morrissey, Sean Daly, Eoin Nolan and Andrew Heffernan.

The 14-man squad flew out to Italy today and will have two days to prepare for their opening group game against Scotland with the Germany tie scheduled for Sunday, June 4 and the Ukraine match set to take place on Tuesday, June 6.
